Chris + Tessa
Chris and Tessa were wed and celebrated their day at the beautiful Morton Arboretum. Tessa and I have known each other since Kindergarten, so I was ecstatic when I received her in e-mail about photographing her wedding day! The day was lighthearted with constant laughter in the air, never rushed or filled with nerves. The focus was centered around the sacrament of marriage, and Chris's and Tessa's lifelong commitment to each other. Their ceremony was personal because of their relationship with the priests (and priest in training!), and their reception was filled with the incredible energy of the band and dancing guests. Thank you for inviting me to be a part of your day, and may you have a long, loving life together!

Brent + Jessica
Brent and Jessica had one of the sweetest, fun, loving weddings to date. Their only agenda was to enjoy the day and each other! Every detail had meaning, and it all came together perfectly. Jessica chose peach as her color because that was the color of her Mom's bridesmaid dresses. We took photos at the location they kindled their love. We had lunch at Peace, the reception was at Revolution, complete with a brewery tour and two step instructors, the cupcakes were from Molly's, and the entire day was filled with tears of joy and stolen kisses. Jessica is my sister's best friend, and I am so very happy that I was able to be with her throughout the day, and see how deeply in love she is with Brent. I know this day was a snippet of their overabundant relationship and future to come. Love you, Jessica!

Martha's Vineyard
I was lucky this summer to join the Dietz/McMillan vacation this year in Martha's Vineyard. This has been a 20+ year tradition for the wonderful family, to get away from busy city life and take it easy for a few weeks each year. Martha's Vineyard was exactly as I imagined, multiplied by five. The mornings were slow, the days were relaxing, the weather was perfect, the meals and wine were light and delicious. This family has the type of easy dynamic that is beautiful to sit back and enjoy. They all have their roles, they have their inside jokes and stories and so much love and admiration for each other. Because it isn't common for the group to be together, especially in a place as special to them as this, they were full of smiles and deep conversation the whole weekend. Saying I am lucky is an understatement - so thank you for inviting me to be a part of the tradition this year.
