Miss Charlotte Zussman

Only a few short days ago I posted the maternity photos of Adam and Jenny, and today, I was able to photograph their beautiful baby girl, Charlotte! Charlotte was full of energy -  constantly squirming, making noise, and doing everything she could to remind us she was there and full of life! I was definitely having just as much fun watching Adam and Jenny care for their first born as I was capturing the adorable little one. Congratulations on your new family!

 

Adam + Jenny

Adam and Jenny are two of my sister's great friends. They are so sweet, and so welcoming. I photographed the end of their first pregnancy, and we couldn't help but embarrass Sadie by putting her in the crib! They welcomed their baby girl, Charlotte, less than a week ago! Congratulations, and I hope you are enjoying every moment of this sweet time in your lives!

 

Goding's Marathon

My PaPa opened a family gas station on Prairie Street in 1956. Since then, many of my family members, including myself, have worked there together. My Uncle Mike still owns the gas station today. The same charm surrounds the station as it did many years ago, but with more character and deeper roots. The vines are fully matured, and the horse stand is still in the same place. My amazing Grandma is an interior designer, and has incorporated warm, nostalgic elements throughout the small space. The memories there continue to grow, from when Chopper, the family dog, walked down the middle of Prairie Street every day to sit in the middle of the cold floor, to my uncle naming me his favorite employee, to the decision to sell the station and close the chapter. I didn't realize how much the slight smell of gasoline and the damp atmosphere meant to me until I spent hours photographing it one beautiful Autumn day. I am grateful to have such simple memories here, like visiting my Papa at work every Wednesday when I was a kid. I'm dedicating this post to my Papa, my Uncle Mike, my Dad (who worked 60 hours a week as a mechanic when we were young), and to my entire family.

Sosie

I don't believe that there is a cuter one year old out there than Sosie. I photographed Sosie on an early Sunday morning, and did not stop laughing the entire time I was there! Her personality is so apparent, from her facial expressions to her giggles. I am going to let the photos speak for themselves, and brighten up your day as they do mine!

Michael + Brittany

Michael and Brittany married on an unusally warm, sunny, day in December. They were graced with the soft, winter light that is a photographer's dream. The crowd had the most energy and fun I have photographed to date! Each guest was full of love and happiness for the couple. The details, from the flowers to the speeches to the band, were planned perfectly. Thank you both for allowing me to document your beautiful story!
