Mr. and Mrs. Polachek

A blissful, summer day in Oak Park, IL was the perfect setting for Kim and Nick to join their lives. Although it seemed like it was seconds away from raining all day, the weather brought Grant and I the perfect light to photograph the happy wedding party both indoors and out. The entire day was filled with soft, overcast natural light - a photographer's dream. Kim's dancer-like grace and posture and gorgeous features made her a gem to photograph. The wedding started at 11a.m., with a simple, light lunch and cocktail hour to follow. Kim and Nick were relaxed, excited, and happy every moment. The whole event was filled with love, close friends, and family. The Cheney Mansion was beautiful in every nook and cranny. I was overwhelmed with the amount of time allowed to photograph the couple and all of the unique settings available to us. Here is to you, Nick and Kim, on your sixth month wedding anniversary.
